On May 14, 2025, longtime mentor, donor, development committee member, former board member, and advocate Mike Metschan was named a local Legend by RecognizeGood. This honor comes from Mike’s unwavering dedication to his Seedling mentees as well as helping to raise more than $500,000 over the past 25 years. Mike and his wife Sally, Seedling staff, and friends from Tyrex Group and RecognizeGood gathered in celebration to honor Mike. Joel Coffman, Executive Director of RecognizeGood says, “Throughout more than 140 volunteer Legend recognitions over 15 years, each volunteer we spotlight is unique in their service, but all share a remarkable dedication. Given the young people served by Seedling and their situations, Mike Metschan’s dedication is particularly impressive and sets a high bar for volunteerism in Central Texas.
