Postsecondary Success Program
For 20 years, Seedling has provided school-based, one-to-one mentoring to children impacted by parental incarceration, an often-invisible population with heightened risk for academic disengagement, chronic absenteeism, and future economic instability.
Building on this proven foundation, Seedling’s Postsecondary Success Program provides ongoing support for high school students, recent graduates, and Seedling Scholarship recipients, helping them navigate the transition into adulthood. By embedding these services within long-standing mentoring relationships, the program ensures students have a trusted adult and advocate as they pursue their goals.
Through individualized guidance, the program focuses on:
- scholarship management
- college, trade school, and workforce training plans
- connection to community resources and opportunities
- career exploration and goal setting
- ongoing check-ins, encouragement, and problem-solving support
Led by a dedicated Seedling Mentor Director / Scholar Success Specialist, the Seedling Postsecondary Success Program reflects the commitment to young people, not only through high school, but throughout the critical years that follow.
Whether a student is attending college, earning a certification, entering the workforce, serving in the military, or exploring other opportunities, Seedling provides continued support to help them navigate, stay on track, and move forward independently.

Congratulations Seedling Mentee, Yona and his Mentor, Jessie, at Yona’s 2026 College Graduation.
