On May 2, Seedling hosted its annual Mentor Appreciation Luncheon at The Renaissance Hotel Austin, sponsored  by longtime supporter ABC Bank. More than 260 guests attended, including current mentors, school district partners, scholarship students, and family members. Seedling recognized mentors for their longevity and commitment to Seedling. Seedling mentor Craig Estes has served as a Seedling mentor for all 20 years of our program, and ten current Seedling mentors have served for more than 15 years. 

Seedling awarded $68,000 in scholarships at the event. Six 8th graders received $8,000 scholarships and two high school seniors received $10,000 scholarships, including the Treece-Callahan Family Scholarship for one of our graduates. 

Seedling was proud to recognize Contigo Technology as the recipient of our Angels & Advocates Award winner for their outstanding contribution to Seedling and students impacted by parental incarceration. Contigo has provided network and hardware support services to Seedling for 5 years. Contigo conducted a laptop drive for our mentees during the pandemic, and CEO Bryan Fuller is a first year Seedling mentor.
